The ADHD Specialist Nurses assess referrals, review information, diagnose where appropriate and treat ADHD and its symptoms. The ADHD nurses are independent prescribers so also undertake the medication reviews and review the medication management as required.

The nurses will speak to both children/young people, families and any other professionals relevant to the care plan. They are specialists in their field and all have backgrounds in working with young people in a variety of specialisms which enhance their roles within the team. They undertake holistic, patient centred reviews based on the information received form families, schools, etc in order to formulate the care plan for families.
